A Romantic Spring Wedding at The Eloise in Mount Horeb

A First Look Full of Emotion

Emily and Jack chose to share a private first look before the ceremony, giving them a chance to slow down and soak in the moment together. It was one of my favorite parts of the day. Without the rush of a timeline or a crowd of guests, they were able to simply enjoy being together before everything officially began.

If you're considering a first look for your own wedding, I always encourage couples to think about what kind of experience they want. There's no right or wrong choice, but having that quiet moment together can make the day feel even more relaxed.

Portraits Around the Grounds

One of the things I love most about The Eloise is the variety of beautiful locations for portraits. Between the charming architecture, open green spaces, and soft spring blooms, every corner offered the perfect backdrop without ever feeling overly staged.

Rather than rushing from one pose to the next, we focused on movement, conversation, and genuine moments. Some of my favorite images from the day happened between the poses, when Emily and Jack were simply laughing together.

A Joyful Ceremony

Surrounded by family and friends, the couple exchanged personal vows that had everyone smiling through tears. The ceremony was simple, meaningful, and full of emotion, making every photograph feel just as special as the moment itself.

As soon as they walked back down the aisle as newlyweds, the celebration truly began.

Dinner, Dancing, and So Much Joy

After dinner and heartfelt toasts, guests filled the dance floor and celebrated late into the evening. The energy was contagious, and it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.

One of my favorite things about documenting weddings is capturing not only the big moments, but also the little ones happening all around them. Parents sharing a quiet hug. Friends catching up during cocktail hour. Grandparents laughing together from the sidelines. Those are often the photographs that become family favorites years later.
